Well the attempt to turn the East End into something looking like D day V the unseen evil  Cardiff was not an overwhelming success if the truth be told but at least the big St George came out of the Pub shed again. Once again arrangements changed from previous efforts as fans were no longer allowed to display flags upon the segregation netting as done previously v Brentford/Rotherham. George the St George did float over the East End twice quite impressively adding more sense to the occasion. So impressed were the Kaadiff that they decided they no longer wished to be Welsh anymore and attempted to join Wurzel after the match had finished!!

So where from here? The club are not going to change their stance and seem disinterested in the East End.So there is not going to be anything pro active from BCFC to try and generate atmosphere still further. So the fear has to be it will not be even open to season ticket sales next season. The support generated by a few hundred is nothing short of phenomenal when compared to the rest of the ground. In thirty years Ashton Gate has never seen so much effort exerted constantly by one stand in support of the team. The intention was always to try and provide vocal support that was relentless, it has happened and it has not gone unnoticed by fans of other clubs,
"Great atmosphere, good noise from both fans. Would happily give my money to your club again......would I be able to get a ticket for the home side of the East End....Bristol City away this season was brilliant for us probably the best away day in the league........ Completely agree, been there twice. EE open great atmos, closed terrible atmos…… I'm happy to join in the general East End love in! It's obviously not as good as the few remaining covered terraces, but for a seated stand, it's certainly one of if not the best for atmosphere in the country!!

Those are just some of the comments made by fans . on the stand up sit down website of Coventry, Leicester, Southampton and Swansea about a ground that used to have a reputation for poor atmosphere http://s12.invisionfree.com/StandUpSitDown  So we have to simply keep the incessant vocal backing up [Johnson says get behind the team, get behind the team….] and hopefully BCFC will allow those who have been present this season at least back in.

Talking of Johnson says bounce around the stand v Coventry has not taken root. Stand up one George of St George for this East End masterpiece. Lets see if we can eventually get the entire end going but it should only be sung a couple of times a match or it will become over familiar and stale.

I am the cider drinker [slow it down young un's] has gradually taken off and is now sung each half verse and chorus every home game with varying success and  fingers crossed may become part of the away fans repertoire as well as being the fine song it is. The cheeky minx  should then gets instantly followed up with Drink up thy cider which needs to be sung S-L-O-W-L-Y thus for maximum effect-

"Drink up thy zider George pass us round the mug. Drink up thy zider George the garden's ver'nigh dug Thy cheeks bin gettin' redder From Charter'ouse to Cheddar An' there's still more zider in the jug "

this then allows others to realise its being sung and the opportunity for the chant to build up before all sing in unison "Drink up thee cider, drink up thee cider, For tonight I'll merry be, merry be, We're going down the Rovers, to do the Bastards over, There's still more cider in the jar! Remembering to repeat  the chorus twice for the full on benefit to those on the Cow sheds left who just don't understand the way of the Wurzel.

Maybe a few flyers might be worth a go? With these two songs inspired by natch hailing from the Bloomfield Inn Briz. Hopefully these new beauties could sink into the cider inconsciousness and become part of the match day East End hymn list.

CITY CITY CITY

The Wurzels anthem has got to have a bit of potential here and could be sung every game straight after kick off, just before half time then repeated in the second half just like fans of the national team with God save Lizzie. Gotta be good this with the City chant following on behind orchestrated by banging on one of those magic pillars.

A few more have appeared in the East End due to sales of half season tickets and all loud mouths are very welcome. A discernible difference was felt due to these sales v Coventry adding to the backing of the team. Time for fans now to emanate the old skool and produce a few signature chants to match "WE ARE THE PEOPLE" ,"SMELL MY FINGERS"…….. This would help things to not become too routine and if the notable big mouths are away for some reason keep the noise constant.

Bring back George the St George every so often as it does add a bit of life and as long as it does not appear every five minutes it won't distract the players while being welcomed by fans in the East End. The sight of a cardiff fan waving a miniscule Croatian flag at Wurzel then a forty foot wide St George flag appearing in the East End has to be the best funniest moment of the season. Size does matter!

Anybody know a decent drummer who will not just blithely crash away driving all insane but instead add to it all? The chap pictured was him and must be somebodies mate out there?

Use the Forza East End forum on http://www.ziderheads.co.uk/ch/. Its there to use and share ideas with other like minded fans so pass it on to those who are unaware it exists. The East End in many respects is being driven by a small group of fans who orchestrate much of what happens on match day. Ideas often are discussed in advance in a haphazard manner on the Forza East End website. If this small group was broadened these ideas will keep appearing in the Cow shed all adding to an End trying its best for the team but also attempting to present an image of Bristol City fans as being fully committed to supporting their team.
